Modern intermodal railroading comes to O Scale with the introduction of 53′ Spine Cars, faithfully recreating the lightweight articulated platforms used to haul domestic 53′ containers and highway trailers across North America. These cars are a defining element of today’s intermodal trains, seen in long, fast-moving cuts behind contemporary road power.

Golden Gate Depot brings these long-requested cars to life for the first time in O Scale, offered in both 3-unit and 5-unit articulated sets, designed for realistic operation, visual consistency, and long-train performance.

Represents early domestic intermodal service, featuring traditional lettering styles and markings associated with the rise of 53′ container traffic.
