The home for farm essentials: Cripple Creek Feed & Seed
Cripple Creek is a dusty old town serving cattle ranchers, coal miners, farmers, and even a few hobby farmers. The Cripple Creek Chamber of Commerce gains another member with the arrival of Cripple Creek Feed & Seed!
This wooden structure has a modest 8" x 6" footprint for easy placement. There is no lighting, so it can be placed anywhere on your railroad.
The building is old and might have once been a freight station or even a blacksmith shop. The entrance has brick steps and the building rests on brick supports. The wood plank loading dock has double-doors for easy warehouse access. The walls are weathered and up top, you’ll find a rusted metal roof. There are two windows just below the roof peak and a vent near the ground.
Adding a bit of nostalgia, the exterior walls have vintage posters for Dutch Boy paint, Sinclair motor oil, Purina Chows, Dad’s Root Beer, and Dekalb Hybrid Corn that make for a nostalgic splash of color.
The base has grass texture with four shrubs, two large rocks, and even ivy growing on the corners. Other details include a pallet, two oil barrels, and two large fertilizer bags. You’ll spot Jack lounging near the door, hoping somebody will give him a dog treat.
